After a canopy at the passenger pickup and drop area outside the Rajkot airport terminal in Gujarat collapsed on Saturday, the opposition criticised the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government saying that after the Delhi airport incident another “picture of ‘development’ has emerged in Rajkot”.
In a post on X, the Congress said, “Third airport accident in three days. Now the picture of ‘development’ has emerged in Rajkot. This airport was inaugurated by Narendra Modi – just 1 year ago.” The latest incident comes a day after a similar incident at the Delhi airport killed a person and injured six. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took a swipe at PM Modi over the Rajkot Airport canopy collapse incident saying that he should tell the people how much money he has taken and has given to his friends.
